HEAD COACH & BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU BLACK BELT
Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Marcelo began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2000 and started teaching in 2013. He has since coached athletes to state, national, and world-level titles in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and No-Gi grappling.
A certified referee, Marcelo was named Best Referee of the Year by the Brazilian Confederation of No-Gi Luta Livre in 2018.
As the academy’s head coach and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Marcelo leads group programs and personalized coaching with clear instruction, practical feedback, and a strong commitment to every student’s progress.
